Anything with melted cheese is good...right?

...Usually that is true. Not that it wasn't this time, but just not as good as I was hoping. Like with anything, sometimes food ideas work out better in my head, than they do in real life. I am reminded of the time, as a young child, that I thought I could hold a bandanna by all four corners, above my head, and jump out of a tree. The bandanna would act as a parachute and land me safely on the ground. Afterall, I'd seen this done a million times in Tom & Jerry cartoons. Yeah, not so much. Slam!!! Anyway...Grilled cheese with spinach and mushrooms on 14 grain. Probably could have been better with some sort of meat. Satisfying nonetheless.

Tasty Drinks

Picked these up at a going out of business sale at some Asian market; the name of which escapes me. I've never really tried guava before. Reminds me of the Sobe drink with a lizard on it. Lizard Juice? Do they still make that? Wait, don't they all have lizards on them? Anyway, it's not that bad. Always a fan of the coconut. These were about 5o cents a peice. Normally a dollar, I think.

Venison!

My father and an uncle of mine are hunter's. They both got a deer this past season. (In fact my dad may have gotten two.) My dad lives by himself and my uncles wife can't stand the thought of wild game being in the house. So lucky guy that I am, I ended up with a good chunk of venison this year. Here are various concoctions:

Steak marinated in vinegar and seared in olive oil. Sourdough baugette with melted mozzerella.

Tacos. Corn tortilla, cheese, onion, lime juice. (Notice the lucha libre magazine under the plate. How appropriate..sorta.)

Thinly sliced steak, marinated in salt water and seared in olive oil. Wild rice (riced by my mother) with mushrooms and onion carmalized with brown sugar.

I have to adimit, this is weird. This is just what it looks like. Sliced steak and chicken ramen noodle. Actually tastes really good. Seriously.

Good..but not Great.

Bean vermacelli noodles. Prawn flavored. There are these creepy little starfish things floating around. I like the packaging and name better than the actual soup. But still, it's "Good."
